Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman Choudhary is a Professor at the Department of Social Work at the University of Rajshahi. He was born in Gaibandha district of northern Bangladesh.
He obtained his MSS degree in 1998 (held in 2001) from the Department of Social Work at the University of Rajshahi with 1st position in the Faculty of Social Science. After that, he joined the Department of Social Work in 2002. Professor Choudhary obtained his Ph.D. degree from Rajshahi University in 2009.
He has been involved in various research projects as an expert and consultant for the past 15 years. Professor Choudhary has contributed more than 23 research articles published in many national and international academic journals. Under his direct guidance and supervision, four researcher wrote their dissertation and award Ph.D. Degrees. He is the author of 7 academic books.
Throughout his academic career, he has done many research works for GOs, NGOs, and INGOs, and notable among them are the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, University Grants Commission, Faculty of Social Sciences, UNDP, World Vision, Asia Foundation, IDE, Plan International and Ain O Salish Kendra.
Areas in which he has worked through his research works are gender, ethnic groups, women and child welfare, elderly welfare, micro-finance, health, religious harmony, and welfare of vulnerable and backward communities.
Md. Abdus Salam is a well-known banker in the country with over 33 years of experience working in various respected commercial banks. He has made significant contributions to the private banking sector and the country's economy.
He started his banking career in May 1989 as a probationary officer at Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. Later, he worked in different roles at Social Islami Bank Limited, Prime Bank Limited, Mercantile Bank Limited, and also served as Additional Managing Director of Jamuna Bank. His hard work and skills helped him become a respected professional. He ended his career as CEO of Jamuna Bank Foundation.
He studied Honours and a Master's in Economics from Jahangirnagar University and earned an M.Phil in 'A Study on Central Bank-Islamic Bank Relations in a Partially Islamized Country' from the Department of Finance and Banking at the University of Dhaka in 2000. He also completed his MBA from Central Queensland University in Sydney, Australia, in 2007.
Using his technical knowledge and ability to spot opportunities, he has built a strong record in branch banking, foreign trade, credit, and other key areas of banking.
He has taken part in many training programs and seminars both in the country and abroad. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Rajshahi. He is also a life member of the Bangladesh Economic Association and the Bangladesh MBA Association. Additionally, he serves as Vice President of the Alumni Association of Carmichael College in Rangpur.
Aishwarya Sanjukta Roy Proma is proposed as the Programme Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) Specialist for this consultancy. She holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka.
She is currently a Lecturer at the University of Rajshahi. Before joining academia, she worked at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University, where she produced working papers, policy briefs, and position papers. She has direct experience designing M&E frameworks such as developing indicators, building data collection tools, conducting baseline studies, and producing periodic assessments within Government of Bangladesh reporting requirements. She has written progress reports, evaluation briefs, and policy recommendations for both government and donors. Her field experience and academic grounding make her a strong fit to lead the results framework, indicator development, and evaluation components.
Engineer M. A. Waheed was born in Gaibandha district of northern Bangladesh. He worked as chief research Engineer in the Department of Structural Engineering and Construction, Housing and Building Research Institute, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Government of People's Republic Bangladesh.
He graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering in 1984 and an M.Sc in 2000. In his broad career, Engineer Waheed has subtly managed projects such as disaster mitigation, sustainability testing, and deployment against natural calamities, eco-housing, floating houses, and concrete polymers.
He has used and managed ferro-cement technology to create cost-effective, eco-friendly, and sustainable structures to withstand natural calamities. He is a lifelong fellow member of the IEB. He is experienced in working on various research projects and is specifically proficient in information and technology.
Dr. Sirajum Munira is a diligent and intelligent person. She is continuously contributing to the education and research sector. She completed her MSS Degree from the Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi. Later, she obtained a Ph.D. Degree in “Cohesive Approach to Primary Education in Bangladesh: Issues and Challenges" from IBS, Rajshahi University.
She plays a role by Organizing various workshops and programs for women, for example, the prevention of the dowry system and child marriage, protection of women's human rights, and also in the income-rising activities of backward women/and to remove backwardness of women.
